How I Got Here — and Why I Care So Much About Your Books
My journey in accounting didn’t start with bookkeeping. It started in CPA firms, preparing tax returns and audits for mid-sized businesses. I learned how the numbers worked — not just as data, but as the story of a business. What was growing. What was bleeding. What the owner had no idea about.
From there, I stepped into the role of CFO for a private company. I sat in on the decisions, guided the growth, and watched firsthand how vital accurate financial records were to every single call we made. Hiring. Expanding. Pulling back. Every one of those decisions was only as good as the books behind it.
That experience is where my passion for bookkeeping was born — not as a task of data entry, but as the essential foundation for everything a business does.
What I Know From Being on Both Sides
Too often, bookkeeping gets pushed aside in favor of more visible tasks — tax filing, financial analysis, the things that feel urgent. But clean, accurate books are the foundation everything else is built on. I’ve seen what happens when they’re not kept current, and I’ve seen the relief on a client’s face when they finally are.
I care deeply about my clients’ success. That’s not a tagline — it’s the reason I started this business. With over 15 years of experience, I understand that bookkeeping isn’t just about numbers. It’s about translating your financial data into something meaningful; something that helps you make confident decisions and build the business you actually want.
I take the time to get to know your business. Your records won’t just be compliant — they’ll be a tool you can actually use.
What Working With Me Looks Like
I work exclusively in QuickBooks Online and serve clients entirely virtually — so geography is never a barrier. I keep books current on a weekly basis, which means when year-end comes around, everything is already tied out and ready for your CPA. No scrambling. No surprises. No pit in your stomach.
I’m not just here to provide a service. I’m here to be your partner — someone who genuinely understands what’s happening in your business and keeps the financial picture clear so you can focus on the work you actually love.
I can’t wait to connect with you.
